Conclusion
To make a long story short let’s start with the conclusion this time.
Would I by these parts again? No!
Can I recommend this set? Well, it depends.

For my liking the Yeah Racing parts are far from plug and play. I spend a whole day of reworking, sanding, shimming and so on to get the Long Span Suspension Set to work smoothly. All this hassle just to finally realize that it doesn’t properly fit the Comical Avante. Ok, if I’m honest that was my fault. I didn’t realize earlier that a GF-01 CB chassis is different from a normal GF-01.
The Aluminum seems to be quite soft. Up to now I didn’t drive with the suspension but would not recommend it for hard bashing. In this case go with the standard parts. They are cheap if you break something.
On the other hand, if you like the fancy blue look and mainly want some bling for a display model or just some light cruising don’t hesitate and get a set. I think the parts are quite affordable and if you consider to build your own ‘custom GF-01 whatever car’ - but not CB – the parts will let it stand out.
Moreover from my experience with other Yeah Racing Parts their quality isn’t the highest level, but if you don't shy away from some rework they can perform quite well up to a certain load level.

Much reworking required
The first surprise I found, was when I tried to push the kingpin screws through the kingpin bushings, because they got stuck. I took a little router bit that I initially bought to widen holes in bodyshells, which was perfect for reaming those tight holes.

My next encounter with submarine parts quality were the ball studs. I couldn’t get screws in until I recut the M3 threads. Followed by drilling some 1.5mm holes in the arms. Otherwise it could be very hard to get the hinge pins pulled out should you decide to ever disassemble them from the chassis. No hassle, the aluminum definitely shows of its tender side. As a fact it is so soft that I could nearly push the drill bit through without even switching on the rotary tool.

Who would expect Yeah Racing wishbones to swivel freely on the chassis, without binding or too much play? No one, but a little sanding at the chassis mounting points and one round with the Hudy Reamer would make them operate ever so silky smooth.

‘Yeah! Shiny blue – silky smooth suspension action!’
The last point wort mentioning is that it would cheer me up even more, if Yeah Racing would include enough M2.5 screws. This way you could install all hinge pins right away, without the need to use the U-shaped hanger or order additional screws. ‘Yeah, this really could have made my day!’

Differences between GF-01 and GF-01 CB
The moment I tried to install the finished suspension to the chassis I realized that the Camber was totally off, because the dogbones seemed to be too long.

| The Front Axle won't fit. |

| Neither would the Rear. |
So I compared the manuals on the Tamiya Website and it turned out, that the Comical Series (CB) uses longer lower- and upper arms, combined with longer dogbones to achieve a wider stance. At first glance the Comical Avante might not appear wider, because the tires are narrower.
Here is a comparison of the old and new part numbers:

You can tell from the shine of the plastic surface that the new N-Parts are made from a new material which seems to be more flexible than the old plastic. I’m not sure if it’s a nylon but I like it and I think it can take some hits. The plastics of the old B-Parts do not leave the same, good impression.
The new GF-01 Chassis has additional standoffs. You could fit the blue aluminum shock towers by trimming them off. I don’t fancy them anyway contrary to the long span arms and hubs.

Thoughts about Options
I assume the new N-Parts and longer Drive Shafts will be a good upgrade also for non CB Models to widen the stance and reduce the cars tendency to roll over.
On the other hand the longer Wheel Axles 50808 are an option to widen the Comical Avante. As per manual the narrow 12mm plastic wheel hubs (B14 50736) are used, but the kit also includes wider ones (D4 10008265) which should fit 50808.
A more expensive option are the fancy blue aluminum wheel hubs 54610. The wider Hubs also allow you to mount the Heavy Dump Truck Tyres and Rims. I think this mod looks great on the Comical Avante, as you can see in this Youtube video from 扶桑重工fuso_heavy_industries.
